The best way to explore the exotic side of Thailand is to set sail in one of the sailing boats or catamarans, coasting along the archipelagos and bays. Starting from Phuket, the famous Phi Phi Islands and Maya Bay are some of the pearls inside the Andamane Sea, Koh Hong East will leave you breathless for the amazing lagoon... We navigate towards Occident, you have the opportunity to discover the uncontaminated Natural Reservation of the Similan Islands: an itinerary out of the usual touristic routes, where nature and untouched ecosystem will offer a wide eyes dream, between snorkelling and relaxing in the white beaches surrounded by high Vulcanic rocks.

Phucket, the biggest island of Thailand, keeps inside the true essence of this land: uncontaminated natural landscapes, breath-taking beaches, luxuriant flora all around the island, hinterland covered by wood and an enormous cultural heritage made by temples and places of worship for the local inhabitants. Krabi, capital city of the region, is characterised by white beaches and crystal-clear water like in Phra Nang, woods where to venture, sea bottoms full of luxuriant marine flora where to practise snorkeling. Koh Hong Island depicts an earthy paradise where to relax yourself and practise snorkelling, with the particular shaped rocks that come outside water depending on lagoon tide that surrounds them, the Hong Lagoon. 

Ao Nang is one of the well-known beaches in Krabi, famous not only for the beauty of the crowded sea water, but for the rocky walls that surround  the beach, where you have the opportunity to venture yourself; Tara Beach is the ideal destination for the ones who want to escape from the touristic and crowded places, just to visit a magic and desert beach, relaxing yourself in the nature. Railay is a rocky bay immersed in the unpolluted nature, where you could practise some sport activities but also just relax yourself here is a good idea. 

Ko Lanta is a renowned archipelago in Thailand, composed by 15 islands brought together in the National reservation, where it is possible to live the essence spirit of the land, both in the breath-taking landscapes and in the welcoming inhabitants. The entire archipelago is characterised by wild an uncontaminated nature, for example Ko Mook, a little island completely immersed inside nature, made by white beaches, natural corners to explore but also the marvellous Emerald Cave (Emerald Pool), a particular shaped rock covered by vegetation, inside which you could swim and reach a little white beach. Ko Hai is formed by white beaches, crystal clear water and a green and wild hinterland. It is the ideal place for the ones who want to enjoy the peace of this dreamy corner of Thailand, getting in touch with nature. 

The 6 Phi Phi Islands are part of the National Reservation of Hat Noppharat Thara and they are located in Krabi, overviewing the Andamane Sea, where it is set one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Maya Bay inside the Phi Phi Leh, a marvellous place covered by white sand and blue water. Koh Mai Pai is a particular island because it isn’t covered by the traditional palms but from some particular firs and its well-known Bamboo Island. This island is a very romantic destination and will give you emotional landscapes, burning sunsets in contrast with the white sand and some snorkelling in the crystal-clear sea bottom.  

Phang-nga bay is a marvellous natural park, fully immersed in the wild nature; the structure of this place made it very famous and it is one of the most visited places in Thailand. Inside this Natural Reservation there are rocks coming out from the emerald-green water, creating some islets all around. Koh Phing Kan, better known as James Bond Island together with the little Ko Ta Pu, is one of these earthly paradises, characterised by a cone-shaped stone with the upside-down base of it. The canoe trips around the bay give a complete view of this landscape, shaped only by nature. 

The marine national park of Similan Islands is a marvellous view that you have to see during your trip to Thailand; the physical shape is characterised by enormous granitic rocks set on the white sand beach, 9 islands flowing through the Indian Ocean, and being part of Phang Nga.  A natural paradise surrounded by luxuriant vegetation, this marine park depicts a real and amazing landscape for snorkelling lovers, because it is possible to get in touch directly with colourful marine creatures or swim side by side with turtles.

Koh Chang

Koh Chang is a Thai island in the Gulf of Siam. It is the second biggest island of the region and part also of the National Mu Koh Chang Park.

WEATHER

The weather is tropical and hot in the whole year. From May till October there is the rainy season, while from December to April the season is dry. The temperatures are elevated during the entire year, never under 30°C.

By plane: the main airport is Trat Aiport (TDX).

Suggested itinerary

Day 1: Check-in

Arrival in Phuket, in the northern area of Thailand; during the transfer from the airport to the marine you will have a first approach with the luxuriant vegetation here around, dotted with Buddhist temples and picturesque villages.

Available embark at 5 pm in your cabin. Its nice beach fringed with coconut trees will welcome your first and idyllic swim. You will be able to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Phang Nga Bay. Dinner and night aboard.

Day 2:

After lunch, we are ready to navigate towards Koh Phi Phi Don, one of the most beautiful islands in the world. We drop the anchor near Yongkasem bay, also known as the monkeys’ bay, a little earthly heaven for swim and snorkelling, before the catamaran crosses the bay to moor in the famous Nui Bay for the sunset. Dinner and night aboard.

Day 3

Today we set sail towards Koh Phi Phi Ley, discovering Maya Bay, a very marvellous place. In the later morning we go back to Koh Phi Phi Don to have lunch mooring in Ton Sai Bay. It will be possible to go ashore and enjoy a relaxing moment with a Thai massage, shopping and visit to the island. Dinner aboard and night ashore with the fire ‘bolas’ show and get in touch more with the festive soul of the Phi Phi.

Day 4

After breakfast we navigate towards Koh Maï Phaï, also known as "Bamboo Island ": a very beautiful sandy beach surrounded by a crystal-clear sea full of colourful fishes, ideal snorkelling spot.

After lunch we leave the mooring towards Koh Dam Kaï, also known as "Chicken Island”; time for dives and snorkelling, and if low tide, it is also possible to walk from an island to the following one just along a sandbank.

Day 5

Early departure towards Ao Nang and Koh Hong East. We discover the marvellous lagoon by tender: there is a 200 m diameter natural swimming pool waiting for us, surrounded by high cliffs. We drop the anchor in Pakbia islands to have dinner and spend the night.

Day 6

We leave Pakbia for a short navigation towards the Ao Thalin’s estuary. After lunch in the early afternoon, we set sail towards Ko Chong Lat Canyon, where there is a breath-taking landscape waiting for us, the water here is famous to host a marine otters’ colony. Navigation towards Koh Yang, in the magic frame of Phang Nga Bay. Dinner and overnight stay aboard.

Day 7

After breakfast, we visit Koh Phing Kan, better known as ‘James Bond Island’, and Koh Pan Yi, a big floating village characterised by stilt houses inhabited by a hundred’s fishermen families, famous for the local artisans. Lunch aboard and navigation towards Koh Hong Lagoon. This place is accessible only by tender. After some afternoon relax, we set sail towards Koh Nakha Noi: the last swim and some relax on the beach. Dinner aboard or with a barbecue on the beach, overnight stay aboard.

Phuket is a Thai island, the biggest one on the Andamane Sea. In the northern area it is connected with the mainland thanks to the Sarasin bridge.

CLIMATE

The region is characterised by a tropical weather, sunny during the whole year, with a rainy season from may till October, and a dry one from December to March. From February to April, before the monsoons season, there is a light temperature increase, so between March and April are the hottest months.

HOW TO ARRIVE

By plane: The main airports to reach Phuket are in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Bangkok Don Muang (DMK), Malesia Kuala Lumpur (KUL) or Singapore-Changi (SIN), because the one in Phuket is very little.

Arrival in Phuket to our Yacht Haven base, located in the north of the island. On your way from the airport, you will get a first view of the luxuriant vegetation of this area, also dotted with Buddhist temples and picturesque villages. Boarding at 05:00 pm in your cabin followed by a safety briefing and an explanation of the travel program. We set sail to the island of Koh Nakha Yai (or Ko Wa Yai depending on the wind). Its nice beach fringed with coconut trees will welcome your first and idyllic swim. You will be able to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Phang Nga Bay. Dinner and night aboard.

Day 2

After breakfast, we set sails towards Koh Hong, an exceptional site accessible only by tender through a cave, where you will find an open lake surrounded by a 100 m high cliff (in Thai, Hong means room). Lunch aboard offshore and departure to Koh Kai Nai, where we visit the Koh Phing Kan Island on a long tail (optional) better known as “James Bond Island” where they’ve filmed “The golden gun”, and Koh Pan Yi, a floating village where a hundred of fishermen families live here. You have the opportunity to buy local souvenirs during this trip to the heart of traditional Thailand. Back aboard for dinner.

Day 3

Departure from Koh Nakhai noi for a short navigation to Ao Thalin. Stop for lunch at Koh Yang then ahead to Ao Thalin for a Kayak ride (optional), on a beautiful mangrove area where many monkeys and birds live. Dinner on board and overnight at Pakbia Group.

Day 4

After breakfast, we leave Pakbia for Koh Hong East. You will visit the beautiful lagoon by tender: a natural swimming pool of 200 m diameter. Lunch and departure to Koh Hong East. Then sail to Ao Nang, Elephant Trek and Koh Dam Kai “Chicken Island”: swimming and snorkeling on a real aquarium and relax on a sheltered beach. On low tide, you have the opportunity to cross the other side along a sand bank. Dinner and night ashore.

Day 5

Breakfast and navigation towards Koh Phi Phi with a stop for lunch at Koh Mai Pai, also known as “Bamboo Island”, beautiful sandy beach with numerous coral fishes and a crystal-clear sea bottom, a dream place for amateur divers. We set sail to Koh Phi Phi Don, one of the nicest beaches in the world. Arrival at Yongsakem Bay (Monkey Bay): swimming, walking on the beach, and then your sailing yacht will bring you to Nui Bay for the sunset. Dinner and overnight. If strong wind from the West, the arrival and anchorage at Phi Phi will be on the East side, famous for its beaches and wild life.

Day 6

After an early breakfast we set sail to Koh Phi Phi Ley: discovery of Maya Bay famous for “The Beach” movie. After 2 hours sailing around the island, you will discover the cliffs and caves where swallows nests are harvested before being exported at very high prices to China. At the end of the morning, we go back to Koh Phi Phi Don. Mooring at Ton Sai Bay and lunch on board. You will then be able to go shopping and discover the island. A 30 minute walk to a belvedere will let you discover a beautiful panorama. In the evening, after dinner, ashore to enjoy the shows of « bolace » in fire and the festive spirit of Phi Phi. Overnight.

Day 7

Breakfast and departure to Koh Kai Nai, Small Island with white sandy beach. In the middle of the afternoon, departure to Koh Lawa. Last swimming and hiking in the island. Sunset and dinner. Overnight.

Disembarkation at Yacht Haven Marina by 9h00 am after having breakfast on the way.
